A Foundation dedicated to the preservation of the marine world
In 2008, directly in line with his beliefs, Daniel Jouvance created the Daniel Jouvance Foundation under the aegis of the Institut de France to study and preserve the marine world.
To this end, the Foundation has initiated two programmes in France and overseas to advance and share knowledge of the marine world:
- Teach biology and marine ecology via the International Schools of Marine Biology set up in emerging countries with a large coastline, such as Chile and Brazil.
This innovative and original scheme involves the Pierre and Marie Curie University via its partner Foundation.
- The Cœur de Corail® programme, implemented in cooperation with the organisation Coral Guardian.
